65 Years of Lumiglas
In April 1960, the entrepreneur Friedrich Horst Papenmeier laid the foundation for today’s Lumiglas product range with the patented Lumistar crescent luminaire, the first combined sight glass luminaire. His idea was patented under the name ‘Electrically illuminated sight glass’. It quickly became established in practice and more and more companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries benefited from it. Our Lumiglas luminaires are now internationally recognised under the name ‘Lumistar’ and, after halogen lamps, rely on the latest LED technology.
